Dear Igor,
I am glad to read your mail. Oh, you drive the lancer MX !
What country do you use it in? Perhaps, there are differences
among specifications of the lancer for each country.
However, I want to inform you about lancer as possible I can.
I formed a club in last year.

Konichiwa Nakany-san!
I very glad to read your letter.
Some words about me. I am Russian and live in Sibiria. Near far from
Novosibirsk city. I'm 34, married, 2 sons - 10 and 12 years old.
I am programer and working in Novosibirsk. My car is genunie japanese
car from Japan (of course, it's car for leftside traffic movement).
In Russia rightside one. I bought this car 2 month ago direct from
Japan via Vladivostok. It was delivered by train from Vladivostok
to Novosibirsk. It's very good car.
I studed japanese myself during one year only 3 year ago.
Of course I can read katakana, hiragana and romaji, but I know only
30-40 kanji. I visited your page "Lancer Owners' Club Japan ." Very interesting.
I have many questions to you, but I don't misuse you attention.
Please write me parameters of timing belt for engine 4G91.
Domo arigato godzaimasita!
See you again in the net.
Igor.

Dear Igor A. Pyankov

OK, I see. Your car is one of Japanese version.
Tell me about the type number of your car, which is
written on the plate on the bulkhead (partition)
in the engine room. For example, that of my car
is "E-CB3ASNHD".
Because there are two types of 4G91, 4G91 DOHC MPI and
4G91 DOHC FBC.
>Please write me parameters of timing belt for engine 4G91.
>
Would you please wait for few days? I will search that in my
maintenance manual for 4G9 engine, which was bought in last
week.
Sincerely Yours,
Nakany

Dear Igor A. Pyankov,
I searched the parameters of timing belt in my maintenance
manual. However, I can not find them. The manual tells us
how to remove, inspect and install the timing belt. I can tell
you only the values of a tension of the timing belt and a torque
to tighten some bolts. But I can not tell you the parameters
of timing belt, for example, its width, length, shape and so on.
In the next weekend, I will bring my car to Mitsubishi Motor
Company's garage to repair the piping system of radiator. If
you want, I will ask your question to engineer. What do you
want to know? Will you please be more specific?
Sincerely Yours,
Nakany

Please ask your MMC employees about timing belt only .
I bought manual in Russian about techical service MMC vehicles.
The oil filter and motor oil in my car were changed in last week.

Dear Igor A. Pyankov,
I'm sorry but I must ask you again.
What do you want know about the timing belt?
Will you please be more specific?
Do you want to know a parts number of the
timing belt for your car?
If you do so, perhaps I need the copy of your automobile
inspection sheet "Syakensyo".
Do you want to know where you can buy the timing belt?
Do you want to know its price, width, length, weight or shape ?
Would you please tell me?
Sincerely Yours,
Nakany

Konichiwa Nakani-san!
Excuse me for your disturbance.
> Do you want to know a parts number of the
> timing belt for your car?
Yes, I want to know a parts number of the timing belt only.
> If you do so, Perhaps I need the copy of your automobile
> inspection sheet "Syakensyo".
>
It's impossible, because I have no inspection sheet "Syakensyo".
And therefore I can't know history of my car.
> Do you want to know where you can buy the timing belt?
>
I'll try to buy the timing belt in my city!
> Do you want to know its price, width, length, weight or shape ?
About price - it will be interesting for compare.
About width, length, weight or shape - it will be usefull for
buying belt of third manufacturer.
In the this weekend, we (I & my family) will go to my parents in the adjoining
region. It's road in 500 km long. Wife and sons will stay there.
And I'll return in Monday only.
Sayonara.
Sincerely Yours,
Igor.
(Greeting from Siberia)
Dear Igor A. Pyankov,
A MMC maintenance man is very kindness to comply
with your request. Parts number of the timing belt for
CB3A is MD176388(old number) and MD197133(new
number), which are listed by the MMC computer.
He put the only code "CB3A" into the terminal. These
timing belts fit for the all 4G91 engine.
These timing belts are the same products, but only the
number was changed. The products with the old number
may be in stock. Their prices are same. In Japan, one
can it by 6,250 yen without tax.
Sincerely Yours,
Nakany
